Gulmarg

Gulmarg, meaning “Meadow of Flowers,” is one of the most famous hill stations in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. • Location: Gulmarg is located at an altitude of approximately 2,650 meters (8,694 feet) above sea level, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Srinagar.
• Climate: The town experiences distinct seasons:
  • Summer (May to August): Pleasant and cool, with temperatures ranging from 13°C to 25°C (55°F to 77°F). Ideal for sightseeing and nature walks.
  • Autumn (September to November): Crisp air and golden hues make this season perfect for photography and quiet getaways.
  • Winter (December to March): Extremely cold with heavy snowfall, turning Gulmarg into a snowy paradise for skiing and snowboarding.

• Gulmarg Gondola: One of the world’s highest cable cars, taking visitors up to Apharwat Peak at over 4,000 meters. Offers stunning views and access to skiing slopes.
• Apharwat Peak: A popular site for advanced skiing, snowboarding, and trekking. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan range.
